Originating as an acoustic trio, Kara Wolf, Laura Buchanan and Kerrie Wert maintain their vocal roots and continue to shape their sound through collaborative songwriting. With over ten years of writing, performing and touring together, these Western Massachusetts natives have honed a special sound that brings the listener in and surrounds them with a powerful combination of intricate harmonies, contagious melodies and moving rhythm. Their voices belong together, artfully weaving their soulful lyrics into songs that will withstand the test of time. Writing, recording, and performing continuously, you can find the band scattered about New England and beyond via their live tour schedule.

In total, Eavesdrop has released two EPs, two full length albums, and over ten singles.  When listening to their debut EP from 2016, The Afterglow, you'll hear the trio's vocally charged acoustic, folk, and soul roots.  The band expanded in 2017 for their first full length album, Tides, co-produced by Alan Evans (Soulive) and Ross Bellenoit (Amos Lee, The Sweetback Sisters). This record brings the listener on a journey alongside the three songbirds and, with their new full band, takes a deeper look into the life events that fostered their creativity.

When live music was put on hold in 2021, the band took time to record their self-titled LP, where they found their sonic home. Incorporating some of the valley's finest musicians – including Jared Quinn (John Cruz, Live on the Planet w/ Kim Zombik) on guitar, Sturgis Cunningham (Peter Tork, Martin Sexton) on drums, and Marc Seedorf (Dinosaur Jr., Mark Mulcahy, Eat Fire Spring) on both bass and production – the band composed and recorded each song together. You can hear the synergistic approach and the heart that went into each track.

Eavesdrop’s latest releases include their newest members: Darby Wolf (currently: Matt Schofield, Band of Killers, formerly: Rubblebucket, Ryan Montbleu) on keys, and Andrew Ricketts (currently: Foreign Movie, formerly: D-Soul Davis Experience, CJ Edwards & The Funk Fellowship) on drums, with some singles (Find Me, Honest, Not On My Mind) featuring meticulous engineering by Jeff Lynch of Mainline Recording. The EVERGREEN EP, released April 2024, was produced and engineered by Spencer Hattendorf and Andrew Oedel at the incredible Ghost Hit Recording studio and features Reed Sutherland (Cloudbelly, Heather Maloney, Seth Glier) on bass. This record explores new sounds and textures and takes the listener on Eavesdrop’s usual genre-bending roller coaster ride, concluding with a trio song to bring you right back to where it all started.
